How do I find the right settings for my material?
Open the Materials tab and browse or search by material name (e.g., birch plywood, acrylic, leather). Tap a material to see the recommended speed, power, and pass count for your machine type. You can filter by machine brand to narrow the results.
My material isn't in the library — what do I do?
You can add a custom material by tapping + Add Material in the Materials tab. Enter your own speed, power, and DPI settings and save it with a custom name. Your entry will appear alongside the built-in library for easy access in future sessions.
How do I save and reuse my own laser settings?
After dialing in settings that work, tap Save Preset from the settings screen. Give it a name (e.g., "3mm Birch — XTool D1") and it will be saved to your Presets tab so you can load it instantly next time.
The recommended settings don't seem right for my machine — how do I adjust?
Settings vary by machine model, power output, and focal distance. Use our recommendations as a starting point and run a test burn on scrap material. Adjust speed and power in 5–10% increments until you get the result you want, then save it as a personal preset.
Is Beam Master Pro available on Android?
Currently, Beam Master Pro is available exclusively on iPhone and iPad via the Apple App Store. Android support may be added in a future update. If you'd like to see it on Android, please email us — user demand helps prioritize our roadmap.
How do I restore my purchase after reinstalling?
Open the app and go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your purchase will be restored at no charge. If the button isn't visible, contact us and we'll help you manually.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store:
- Open the App Store and tap your profile photo (top right)
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Beam Master Pro and tap Cancel Subscription
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
The app crashes or won't open — what should I try?
First, try closing the app fully (swipe up from App Switcher) and reopening it. If that doesn't help, restart your device. You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling — your saved presets are backed up to your account and will restore automatically. If the issue continues, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
