Visit aistudio.google.com, sign in with your Google account, and navigate to Get API Key. Create a new key and copy it. Then open LaserForge AI Pro → Settings → API Keys → paste it into the Gemini API Key field and tap Save.

Google offers a free tier for Gemini API usage. Check Google AI Studio for current pricing and limits.

Visit platform.stability.ai, create an account or sign in, and navigate to your Account → API Keys. Generate a new key and copy it. Then open LaserForge AI Pro → Settings → API Keys → paste it into the Stable Diffusion API Key field and tap Save.

If the app shows an invalid key error, try the following:

• Make sure you copied the full key with no extra spaces before or after it.
• Confirm the key is active and not expired in your Google AI Studio or Stability AI dashboard.
• Check that your account has an active billing method if you've exceeded the free tier.
• Try generating a new key if the original was recently created — it may take a few minutes to activate.

Yes. Your API keys are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to or stored on Code Crafted Nexus servers. All AI requests made with your keys go directly between the app and Google's or Stability AI's servers. We never see your keys or the content of your AI requests.

AI-generated settings are a starting point. For the best results:

• Make sure you've selected the correct material type and laser type in the app.
• Be as specific as possible — include your laser's wattage, the exact material (e.g., "3mm Baltic birch plywood" vs. "wood"), and your desired output (engrave vs. cut).
• Always run a small test on scrap material before a full production job.
• Use the Refine option to provide feedback to the AI and get adjusted recommendations.

The visual preview uses Stable Diffusion to generate a photorealistic simulation of how your engraving will look on the selected material before you run the job. To use it, set your material, design, and settings, then tap Preview. The app sends a request to Stable Diffusion using your API key and displays the result — this uses a small amount of your Stability AI credits.

LaserForge AI Pro supports all major laser types and brands, including:

• CO₂ lasers (xTool, Glowforge, Epilog, Boss, Thunder, Trotec, and more)
• Diode lasers (xTool, Sculpfun, Ortur, Longer, AtomStack, and more)
• Fiber lasers (for metal engraving)

Select your machine type and wattage in Settings → My Laser so the AI can tailor its recommendations to your specific setup.

Yes — LaserForge AI Pro is available on both iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. Your material profiles and settings sync across both platforms when you're signed in with the same account.

LaserForge AI Pro delivers the same core AI-powered engraving features as LaserForge AI, but with one key difference: no subscription to Code Crafted Nexus. Instead of paying us for AI access, you connect your own Google Gemini and Stable Diffusion API keys and pay only for what you use directly through those services. This gives you full control over your AI costs and data.

Cross-device sync requires a LaserForge AI Pro account. Sign in with the same account on both devices and your material profiles, project history, and settings will sync automatically. Go to Settings → Account to sign in or create an account.
