Your key is emailed to you right after purchase on the PromptSmith page.
How to install it
- Open this page on your Android phone or tablet and tap Download PromptSmith for Android.If your browser asks whether to keep the file, choose Keep or Download anyway.
- When the download finishes, tap the file (PromptSmith-Android-….apk) in your browser or in the Downloads app.The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from that app (for example Chrome). Turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Tap Install.Google Play Protect may say it has not seen this app before. That is because PromptSmith is not sold through Google Play. Choose More details, then Install anyway.
- Open PromptSmith, type your license key, and tap Activate.Keys look like PS-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Your phone or tablet needs an internet connection for this step.

How do I update PromptSmith on Android?
Tap Check for updates at the top of the app. If a newer version is available, tap Download update, then open the downloaded file and tap Install. Your key and settings stay in place.
Does my desktop license key work on Android?
Yes, a PromptSmith key can be activated on Android as well. One key can be active on up to three devices in total, counting Windows, Mac and Android together. If all three are in use, deactivate one first. Contact support if you need a higher limit.
How do I move my key to a different device?
On the old device, tap Deactivate this device at the top of the app. Then activate the key on the new device.
Do I need internet to use it?
Only to activate and to check your license now and then. Once activated, PromptSmith keeps working offline for up to 14 days between checks. What you type is never sent to us.
Why isn’t it on Google Play?
We sell PromptSmith directly from this website, so you get it from the source with one license key and no subscription. Because the file comes from outside Google Play, Android shows the extra install prompts above.
The app says it can’t reach the license server.
Check that your device is online and try again. If it keeps happening, email support@codecraftednexusllc.com with the message you see.
